Student Involvement Center

The James H. Woodward Student Involvement Center is home to NC State’s 700+ student organizations and the Student Involvement staff. The spacious suite features over¬†3,000 square feet of meeting, resource, and office space overlooking Cates Avenue in the heart of campus. Located on the 4th floor of the Talley Student Union,¬†floor-to-ceiling windows offer floods of natural light in the open, colorful hub for student organizations.

Moveable fixtures and furniture allow flexibility within the center for student groups to collaborate and hosts creative programming. Student organizations can reserve meeting space, tables and event space by contacting Student Involvement.


James H. Woodward, Chancellor, 2009-2010

Under James Woodward’s leadership, NC State University continued on its path of excellence in academics, research, and service to the citizens of North Carolina. Chancellor Woodward advanced major initiatives in the areas of fundraising, research, and key campus development projects, including the efforts to renovate and expand the Talley Student Union.

Because of his deep and caring involvement in helping to create a better place for student organizations to carry out their mission in concert with each other, the student involvement center was named in his honor in September of 2015.
